Barcelona, Spain - After a long week of light air, lengthy postponements, hot sun and even hotter competition, three ORC World Champions have endured and excelled to been crowned today in Barcelona. Two are the reigning champions from the 2014 championship in Kiel last year, and one is a veteran winner from ORC championships in past decades of sailing.

Barcelona, Spain - With the completion of a 62.8-mile lap of racing along the coast north of Barcelona, two new series leaders have once again risen to the top of the standings in two classes at the end of Day Four of competition at the 2015 ORC World Championship, hosted by Real Club Nautico de Barcelona. The complete lap was scored as two races for Class A by day's end, with Classes B & C still at sea approaching nightfall.

High pressure system suppresses chances for wind today, but there are better prospects for tomorrow

Barcelona, Spain - Strong high pressure conditions in Spain today created high heat and no wind in Day 3 of the ORC World Championship, hosted by the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona. The fleet went out after a postponement in the morning intending to race a 72-mile offshore race to a mark placed 35 miles northeast off of the beach town of Blanes. This was a course already shortened from the original 115-mile course intended had there been more wind, and yet the fleet sat out there for hours awaiting signs of any promising sign of wind to start the race.

Barcelona, Spain - With a more favorable forecast in hand despite the continued hot weather, race managers from the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona had only a brief postponement this morning before getting the fleet out of the Port Vell harbor and racing today at the 2015 ORC World Championship. Two races were completed in all classes on both courses in somewhat light 6-9 knot southwest wind conditions, and from this two new class leaders have emerged.
